This is just a page of sites I like and find useful and of jumping off points for you to find even more information. Have fun! |

Dr. P's Dog Training - This is an all encompasing site. From their homepage: "Welcome to Dr. P's virtual library of info about dog training & behavior. A revision history is available, as well as a listing of awards. This is a noncommercial site sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. External links are provided for educational purposes only and do not act in any way to suggest the endorsement or sponsorship of Dr. P or UWSP." There are links on this page to virtually anything doggie you would like to know. Most of the information is current and useful. Again, while I may not agree with everything available from this site, I do believe everyone has a right to all the information they can find and decide for themselves what they choose to use or believe.
Leerburg Dog Training & German Shepherds - Leerburg Kennel and Video web site is over 4,500 pages of dog training information. Leerburg video has produced over 100 Dog Training Videos and bred over 350 litters of German Shepherd puppies. I have not had one of their puppies, though, to find out for myself. As with most sites, take what you like and leave what you don't like.
Training Your Dog - Includes dog training tips, information on behavioral terminology, dog training methodologies, and a brief list of recommended dog training & behavior books. This is a great page. The information here is clear and follows my own beliefs quite closely. I couldn't have written a better page myself! I figured the author, Cindy Moore, cindy@k9web.com , did such a good job, why re-write it. Again, just a great site.
Dogs Are Problem Solvers - The Dog Trainers Workshop, owned by Brian and Connie Cleveland. I have been to 2 of Connie's seminars and love what she has taught me in realtion to how dogs learn. While my methods of actual obedience training differs from her's, I still agree with the fundamentals in that Dogs Are Problem Solvers. Also on her site is her training program, which I also have and like most of and handouts for you on all sorts of behaviors including housetraining and more.
Click & Treat - The homepage of Gary Wilkes' and Click & Treat. He is considered to be right up there with Karen Pryor in bringing clicker training to the dog afficianados. If you are interested in true clicker training start at this page or on the link below.
Don't Shoot The Dog - Karen Pryor's homepage of her website. Clicker training for all species, not just dogs. |
