Private Lessons

Sometimes a group class is not possible for you or your dog. We offer Private lessons - usually done in your home - to those who cannot or do not want in a group class.  There are some advantages to private lessons.

• Less distracting environment for you and your dog
• Your problem is centered more on a behavior that is triggered by something at home only
• Class times and or Dates just do not work for you
• You have an extremely aggressive or extremely submissive dog
• One on One instruction
• Everything taught is tailored to you and your dog, specifically
• After a private lesson, you and your dog can come to a group class for half off the cost of class

There are some disadvantages to private lessons also.

• Dog does not have opportunity to "socialize"
• Dog learns to behave in the house when it is quiet and nowhere else
• It is a one time lesson and up to you to continue training
• You miss out on learning through seeing others mistakes and triumphs

Each person must decide for themselves as to whether a Group Class, Private Lesson or both, are what you and your dog needs.  Please email for prices.

Two visit in home lesson. This covers the basic obedience commands and any problems you are having. I come to your home (usually) twice and I am there for anywhere from 1-3 hours on average. You are shown how to train your dog, how to stop unwanted behaviors and prevent other behaviors. Then it is up to you to work with your dog/puppy. Fees are based on an hourly rate. After completion of the lesson you may come into a Group Class at a later date for a *Discounted Rate*.
